Admissions Process

Our Lady of Assumption School is an accredited, co-educational elementary school for grades Pre-K through 8. Enrollment is open to all qualified students regardless of race, color, sex, physical disability, political belief, religion, age or national origin. Required for admission to school are the following documents:
  • Birth certificate
  • Immunization record
  • Baptismal certificate
  • Copy of last report card

Our Lady of Assumption School meets state requirements for enrolling pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students. According to Texas State law, a child must be 4 years of age by September 1 to enter the Pre-K program and 5 years of age by September 1 to enter the Kindergarten program. All other grade level entries require documentation of legitimate grade placement. Our Lady of Assumption regrets that it does not offer the following classes at this time: Special Education, ESL, Bilingual, Deaf education, Speech therapy or Occupational therapy. If for some reason a student has special needs and requires any of the aforementioned classes, parents are referred to the local education agency and arrangements are made for the best educational environment for the student.
